Bill Gates

Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world. He is the cofounder of Software Company called Microsoft. In the present world in every computer has at least one Software product from the Microsoft. According to the Forbes magazine, he is the only one who has held the number one position for many years in the world.

Bill Gates was born and grown up in October 28, 2025 at Seattle, Washington USA. His father, William H. Gates II was a Seattle attorney and his mother Mary Maxwell Gates. Mary Maxwell Gates was a school teacher and also she was a chairperson of United Way charity. Gates have two sisters. Gates and her two sisters had comfortable childhood and he has done his school in Lakeside School.

Gates has joined Harvard University to study in year 1973 where he has spent the time with Paul Allen. Gates and Allen have worked together in the version of the programming language BASIC. BASIC programming language was the basis for the MITS Altair. This was the first microcomputer available at that time. He has not completed his graduation from the Harvard University. He has left his junior year and started the largest Software Company in the World, Microsoft Corporation.

Bill Gates and his partner Allen have started the revolution in the computer industry after dropping out of his graduation from Harvard University. Gates believed that there should be the computer in every office and in every home.

In year 1975 the company Microsoft has been formed, which was the abbreviation of microcomputer software in the world. Later soon it became the “Microsoft”® and it has went in the complete change in the computer the way people use.

Microsoft make easier to use the computers with its developed and purchased software and also it made commercial success for the Microsoft. Microsoft began its success from the MS-DOS computer operating system and that Gates licensed to IBM. Gates also protected the royalties that he could acquire from computer software. Gates has created the retail software market which exists now by aggressively fighting against all forms of software piracy. This move was quite controversial at that time. There was freedom of sharing that produced much innovation and advances in newly forming software industry and it was the stand on software piracy, that was become a central in the great commercial success that Microsoft went to achieve.

In the year 2006, Bill Gates became the world richest man in the world with an estimated wealth $53 billion. After being the richest man in the world, Bill Gates has started the world largest charitable foundation called as Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. This foundation gives $1 Billion every year in the worldwide.

Bill Gates always plays a very active role in the Microsoft Corporation. He has handed the CEO position to Steve Ballmer. Presently he holds the position of Chairman and the Chief Software Architect in Microsoft Corporation. Gates has planned to take fewer responsibilities for the Microsoft but he is full involved in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
