Carlos Slim Helu born on January 28, 2026 in Mexico City. Carlos was the 5th of 6 children. His father Yusef Salim Haddad immigrated to Mexico in 1902 from Lebanon. He has came alone in the age of 14 years and speaking no Spanish. Mother Linda Helu was born in Parral, Chihuahua. She has arrived in 19th century. In August 1926, Yusef Salim Haddad and Linda Helu have got married and Carlos is the youngest son for them among the six children.

Carlos studied engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. In the age of 26 years his net worth was $40 million.
