The Simpsons, produced by Matt Groening, is an Animated Sitcom of America created for the Fox Broadcast Corporation. It is a mocking parody of the American middle class standard of living epitomized by its ostensible family that consists of Marge, Homer, Lisa, Maggie and Brat. The show is placed in the imaginary city of Springfield, and it caricatures a lot of features of the human condition, and also the American society, culture and the television.
The family was imagined by Matt Groening curtly before a field for a sequence of the animated shorts along with producer, James L. Brooks. Matt formed a dysfunctional family. He named all the characters subsequent to the members of his personal folks, substituting Brat for his personal name. It became an element of The Tracey Ullman Show in the year 1987. Following a 3-season run, the blueprint was urbanized into a 30 minutes prime time TV show and became a very early hit for the Fox.
It became the very initial Fox series to attain a position at Top 30 ranking in a season of 1992-1993. Since its introduction on December 17, in the year 1989, the Simpsons show has televised 420 episodes and 20th season will begin airing in the fall of 2008. The Simpsons film, a feature-length movie, was released worldwide on July 26-27, in the year 2007. It has got an awesome response and has roughly earned US$526.2 million globally till this date.
The Simpsons has gathered a lot of awards on its name ever since it released as a show series, which includes 26 Annie Awards, a Peabody Award and 23 Emmy Awards. On December 31, in the year 1999, The Simpsons was named as the twentieth century’s finest TV series by Time Magazine.
On January 14, in the year 2000, the series was honored a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This series is the longest dashing American sitcom and the animated program. The aggravated mumble by Homer, “D oh” has been accepted into a lot of English glossary, whereas The Simpsons has affected loads of adult-oriented vivacious and animated sitcoms.
